We have produced the DVD about the “Guidance for Safe Passage through the Kanmon Kaikyo”
We have produced the DVD about the“Guidance for Safe Passage through the Kanmon Kaikyo” as an educational tool for Captains and Deck Officers based on the view from seafarers, in co-operation with Organizations of Maritime Education, Kanmon Straits & Harbour Pilot Association and also Japan Coast Guard in 2014. It contains movies from ships and explanations of navigation rules, landmarks and remarkable navigation aids.

We are asking for the quantity of the Education DVD of "Safety Guidance for Passing through Kanmon Kaikyo" you require.
We are going to produce the DVD(in English and Japanese) about the “Safety guidance for Passing through Kanmon Kaikyo” as an educational tool for Captains and Deck Officers based on the view from seafarers, in co-operation with Organizations of Maritime Education, Kanmon Straits & Harbour Pilot Association and also Japan Coast Guard.
It contains movies from ships and explanations of navigation rules,landmarks and remarkable navigation aids.
The DVD can be accessed on personal computer and will be provided free of charge but for a limited number of copies.

We have produced educational DVD of ERM (Engine-room Resource Management).
The requirement of ERM (Engine-room Resource Management) have been introduced into the competence tables of the 2010 Manila amendments to STCW Convention and the Code as mandatory requirement for engineer officers.
We have produced educational DVD of ERM which contains briefings on ERM, its requirements and case examples to allow people to learn what ERM is, what ERM principles are and what should be understood. Contents of the DVD are movies and texts of both English version and Japanese version.
It was our honor that Doctor David Gatfield, a professor of Warsash Maritime Academy who contributed to development of the requirements for ERM in the comprehensive review of STCW Convention and the Code, kindly participated in producing it as the coproducer.

The 89th Maritime Safety Committee (the Maritime Human Resource Institute)
The 89th session of the Maritime Safety Committee was held between 11th. and 20th. May, 2011 in London, England. The committee, at which the staff of the Department of Technology and Research was present, clarified the issue of transitional provisions relating to the 2010 Manila amendments of the STCW Convention.

The 42nd Sub-Committee on Standards of Training and Watchkeeping (STW) (the Maritime Human Resource Institute)
After the Diplomatic Conference to the STCW convention and code in Manila , the 42nd session of the Sub-Committee on STWwas held between 24th. and January 28th. , 2011, in London. Our staff of the Department of Technology and Research attended the sub-committee, which discussed E-navigations and other, related matters.

Diplomatic Conference to the STCW convention and code (the Maritime Human Resource Institute)
The staff of the Department of Technology and Research attended the Diplomatic Conference on the International Convention on standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers,1978 The conference was held in 2010, June 21st. to June 25th. in Manila, the Philippines. <br /> The report for the Manila amendments to the STCW Convention is under preparation.
